The first Lasiandra Festival was held in 1984 and it has continued annually since then, always taking place from the second Saturday in March to coincide with the floral spectacular of the lasiandra in bloom. The festival is run entirely by volunteers and proceeds from the festival are used for the promotion and beautification of Wauchope. The festival continues through the entire month of March. Festival Program highlights include Purple People Shopping Day, Lifeline Garden Party, Lasiandra Rock N Roll Dance, Jazz in Bago Vineyard, Twilight Lasiandra Fashion Parade, Veteran Ladies Golf Day, the Annual Lasiandra Festival plus much more. Fun for all the family.
